WELCOME
(Willkommen)

Schneitter's Swiss Oaks (aka: Swiss Oaks) was constructed between 1987 and 1995 and was the first condominium developments in Midway. The community took close to ten years to complete in four phases, totaling 143 condos located in 32 buildings, with one clubhouse, two tennis courts, sport court and a community park.

The Midway area was originally settled by Swiss Pioneers who settled the area because it reminded them of their mountain homes in the alps with 360 degree mountain vistas. Throughout the entire City of Midway, Swiss architecture and town celebrations (Swiss Days) give homage to these original Swiss families who settled the valley. The name “Schneitter’s” comes from one of the original Swiss families who settled in Midway in the late 1800’s and are known for creating the “Schneitter’s Hot Pots,” which was a hotel, restaurant and bathing resort, which offered travels the opportunity to soak in natural warm hot springs, found in the area. The Schneitter's Hot Pots was later sold around 1940 and changed to the now known Homestead Resort, a historic hotel golf and spa resort located within a mile of the Swiss Oaks community. Swiss Oaks was developed by Dr. Robert Fuller, the great grandson of Simon Schneitter, who also created and developed Zermatt Resort, a European style leisure destination and conference resort in 2006, and is the neighboring property, located just below the Swiss Oaks community.

The Swiss Oaks community consists of primary and second homes with 143 residents, with most owners residing in Utah and who frequently visit their property to enjoy the mountain air and mountain lifestyle found within a short distance from their front doors. Midway and the Wasatch area along the back of the Utah Rocky Mountains is only 30 minutes from Provo, 20 minutes from Park City and 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. As the popularity to Heber Valley has increased, Swiss Oaks has maintained its reputation for being one of the premier HOA communities within the area.
